Excel Cost Model Documentation
This is a simple spreadsheet designed for costing / pricing of products or services that comprise numerous cost elements
to be considered. It is relatively simple and targeted at getting a quick business case together but there's no reason
not to extend as required.
It utilises some VBA to allow rapid sizing and re-sizing of the tables. Personally I think it safest to oversize the tables
and then delete blank lines later.
It's Excel so all the formula and general workings are the Excel you know and love from Microsoft. The VBA macros seems to work fine but it has not undergone extensive testing and you use this template at your own risk. You may examine the macros but I would alway recommend regular backup saves even had this been tested extensibly.
I don't propose talking about Excel itself there is more than enough out there on the web!
It's a preformatted spreadsheet that has a couple of buttons to adjust the size / time scope
and copy formula durin expansion to save time. From experience you produce a model and someone
asks what if we start earlier or change the contract period.
** Save a copy before making such a change **
